Buchanan’s first bottle redesign in over 20 years is an evolution that modernized the brand while reinforcing its heritage. Inspired by founder James Buchanan’s story, the redesign introduced a canteen-shaped bottle, heritage seals, and an innovative ritual cap mechanism.

Following the redesign, Buchanan’s experienced a strong resurgence. Within a year, brand value grew by 23% in Mexico and 52% in Colombia, while the US market saw a 9% increase. Overall, the work contributed to a 20% uplift in brand value and an 8% increase in volume across key markets. The project was recognized with Gold at the DBA Design Effectiveness Awards for its measurable commercial impact.
